Grab your popcorn! La Costa Film Festival returns to Carlsbad this weekend

Movie buffs and film enthusiasts alike won’t want to miss this year’s La Costa Film Festival. And luckily for us San Diegans, it’s right in our backyard! Going into its fourth year, the festival will be hosted by the renowned Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad.

The film festival is rolling out the red carpet from October 13th-16th, offering the chance to meet world-class filmmakers, attend nightly red carpet gala events, view 40+ incredible films (including world premieres!) and be involved in discussions about the current state of the industry. Attendees can sit back and enjoy the show, especially while immersed in the paradise-like setting of the Omni La Costa Resort.

The lineup of events? The local four-day festival will open with a gala screening of Johnathan Brownlee’s festival hit, THREE DAYS IN AUGUST, and showcase highlights including the world premiere of Nathan Apffel’s THE LONGEST JOURNEY and a special 30th Anniversary 3D screening of TOP GUN. This is among the 20 feature films, 23 short films, and filmmaker panels presented over the course of the four days. The real star of the show will be Chris Noth, a two-time Golden Globe nominee who will be receiving the festival’s Inaugural Shining Star Award.

Whether you are looking forward to the galas, films, panels, or all three, the festival is sure to bring a one-of-a-kind Hollywood experience in a sophisticated and exotic resort setting. You can get your tickets by visiting www.lacostafilmfestival.org/attend/.

Be sure to check out our coverage. We will be on the red carpet and will provide you with daily updates from the film festival.
