Three Italian groups, Little Italy Association, Convivio, and the Italian Cultural Center are coming together to host the “Live the Game. Love the Heritage” program at the San Diego Padres Italian Heritage Night on Thursday, May 31, as part of the Padres vs. Marlins game at 6:10 p.m. at Petco Park. The celebration will be full of Italian culture, special guests from Italy, a top contestant from America’s Got Talent and America’s favorite pastime, baseball!

The game will also host Sal Valentinetti, Italian American vocalist and a 2016 America’s Got Talent contestant to sing the national anthem at the game, and the first pitch will be thrown by special guests from Team Italy Baseball: Nico Garbella, Giovanni Garbella and Team Italy Softball player, Erika Piancastelli.

For every ticket sold, $3 will be split and donated to Rady Children’s Hospital President’s Fund that supports any Rady Children’s Hospital department with the highest need at that time; and the Washington Elementary School Foundation, a non-profit that promotes Italian culture education in schools and supports homeless youth.

The San Diego Padres Italian Heritage Night will offer two different ticketed experiences—general admission tickets or an elevated VIP experience on the Pacifico Porch. A limited number of VIP tickets are available and those ticket holders will receive unlimited food during the hour before and hour after the first pitch, unlimited Pacifico beer and soft drinks one hour before the first pitch until the 7th inning stretch, a commemorative hat and limited-edition swag for $95. General admission includes a commemorative hat and a complementary mini-Italian flag—tickets will vary from $32 to $33, depending on seating location. Tickets are available here.
