Blackmarket Bakery celebrates its one year anniversary in San Diego


North Park’s Blackmarket Bakery is celebrating its first birthday this Saturday, October 21 from 2 to 4 p.m.

There will be a birthday cake, cake decorating demos, party games, seasonal samples and more.

In only its first year Blackmarket Bakery has made an impact, being named San Diego Magazine’s Best Bakery of 2017.

Headed by Chef Rachel Klemek, Blackmarket Bakery is known for its tarts, chewy drop cookies, artisanal breads and handmade pastries.

Blackmarket Bakery is located on 30th and Adams. It’s open Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
