Barrio Star is celebrating their 5th anniversary on Cinco de Mayo! From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., enjoy $2.99, $3.25, and $3.75 TacoTuesday deals all day long. Wash it all down with $6 and $8 margaritas, such as the award-winning Roasted Jalapeno Blackberry Margarita. Make this a Cinco de Mayo one to remember and visit the photo booth with fun props to save as a memory of the day.

And what’s a Cinco de Mayo celebration without tacos? Backyard will also be serving $3 tacos to go along with their drink specials.

Over in Hillcrest, Uptown Tavern’s Chef Lety Gonzalez has reached into her Mexican roots to create dinner specials to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Try Chef Lety’s Carne Asada tacos with salsa ranchero, queso fresco, and an avo-pico. Or share the Triple Dip with friends. This three dip spread is served with blue maize tortilla chips and consists of a queso fundido with chorizo, shrimp, and jalapenos, guacamole made with heirloom tomatoes, olive oil, cilantro, and Fresno peppers, and a traditional Salsa Bandera made with onions, jalapeno, and cilantro that represents the color of the Mexican flag. End the night on a sweet note with Buñuelos—fried dough with cinnamon sugar, a pinch of cayenne and served with candied pork belly and a side of dried chili syrup.
