'MasterChef' comes to San Diego this Saturday for a casting call

Writer: Jarnard SuttonJarnard Sutton

Attention all home chefs and foodies of San Diego: FOX's hit cooking show "MasterChef" is heading to San Diego this weekend to cast for its eighth season. Hilton San Diego Bayfront will host the casting call on Saturday, March 5th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

If you want a chance to be on the show, this event invites you to bring one prepared dish to be served to the MasterChef judges. You will be given three minutes to plate your dish at the casting call, but there will not be a kitchen to cook or warm your dish up so come prepared! Be sure to preregister at here.

Our very own San Diego chef Claudia Sandoval won season six. Sandoval is set to release her cookbook “Claudia’s Cucina” featuring authentic Mexicanrecipes with innovative and modern flair this summer and is now available for preorder on Amazon.com.
