Kick off the Summer at these Chef-Driven BBQ Events with Smokeyard's Dinner Series and a colab w
BBQ… there’s nothing I love more, except maybe BBQ and a beer! So it’s with a smile on my face that I’m writing about two new BBQ collaborations.
First up, Smokeyard BBQ & Chop Shop in Westfield UTC is taking it up a notch. It’s starting a monthly Butcher & Brewmaster dinner series with former Top Chef contestant Giselle Wellman. She’ll be teaming up with Smokeyard’s Executive Chef Matt Sramek and Societe Brewing Company for a five-course tasting dinner. This is all taking place on Wednesday, May 30th at 6:30 p.m. Your evening will be filled with inventive smoked delicacies, seafood selections and paired beers. Yes, Societe’s 2018 World Beer Cup gold-medal winner, The Thief, will be included!

Here’s some more good news for your taste buds, it’s still not too late to try out a dream team partnership between Phil’s BBQ and Sammy Woodfired Pizza. The two San Diego-based food institutions have teamed up on three new collaboration items. They’ve come up with a BBQ Chicken Salad with fresh corn, tomatoes, red onion, gorgonzola and crispy tortilla strips.
Also on the menu is a BBQ Pizza featuring Phil’s boneless pork ribs, pineapple, chili oil, garlic, red bell peppers and mozzarella. There’s also an angel-hair pasta dish tossed in a garlicky cream sauce and topped with a beef rib and sauce. The specialty dishes are available at all 7 Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza locations through Father’s Day, June 17th.
