SoNo Fest & Chili Cook-Off returns to raise funds for local school

The 9th annual SoNo Fest & Chili Cook-Off returns to the intersection of Thorn and 32nd Street to raise funds for McKinleyElementary School’s Spanish, art, and music program. The all volunteer event will be held on December 2nd from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Attendees will experience over 40 restaurants (Anthem North Park, Burger Lounge, Blind Lady Alehouse, Tiger! Tiger! , Panama 66, Del Sur, The HavenFernside Kitchen, etc) competing in the ultimate chili cook-off, beer and beverage garden with 22 local craft brewers (a cocktail bar helmed by Cutwater Spirits.), live music on two stages, holiday shopping with 30 local maker booths and kids fest with entertainment.

Event is free to enter but for $20, you will get a ceramic bowl or festival mug and 5 chili tastings. Since its inception in 2010, SoNo Fest &Chili Cook-Off has raised over $395,000 for the elementary school’s International Baccalaureate program.

Be parrt of the neighborhood’s largest festivals, with nearly 20,000 hungry patrons hitting the block to taste, sip, shop, and play their way through the best that North Park and South Park have to offer.
