San Diego's first ever ice cream festival debuts in North Park this weekend

Ice cream lovers, you're in for a treat. As the headline says, San Diego's first ever ice cream festival debuts in North Park this weekend. Get your sweet tooth fix at Scoop San Diego on Sunday, June 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on on North Park Way between 30th Street and Granada Avenue. So far, 20 local ice cream and gelato shops are generously donating their time and ice cream to the event, and 100% of proceeds will be donated to Monarch.

Scoop San Diego is to celebrate the evolving craft ice cream and gelato scene here, and to bring the community together for a day of fun with family and friends - all for a good cause. “Everyone loves ice cream, and we have so many unique shops in San Diego,” Scoop San Diego founder Daniel Szpak said. “While you’re satisfying your sweet tooth at Scoop San Diego you’re also helping the people in our community who need it the most. That’s our mission at Scoop San Diego: to showcase the tastiest local ice cream and gelato, to be of service to the community, and to have fun!”
