ArtWalk @ Liberty Station will return to Ingram Plaza for its 14th year of “Connecting Creative Communities” on Saturday, August 10 and Sunday, August 11 in the Arts District at Liberty Station. The fine arts festival brings visual arts, music and interactive art experiences to the historic San Diego community all weekend long. Thousands can peruse through the garden browsing artwork and enjoying food, wine and beer, and live entertainment at the two-day, free event.
“The 14th Annual ArtWalk @ Liberty Station will elevate the grounds of San Diego’s premier art and cultural venue with art from talented local, national and international artists surrounding the picturesque rose garden,” said Sandi Cottrell, ArtWalk San Diego’s Director. “Artists will share their works of art with the San Diego community. Summer visitors, first-time art buyers and avid collectors can explore and purchase art directly from artists that travel from all over the US and Mexico. There are also many kid-friendly projects and interactive art experiences that will make attendees of all ages discover the artist within them.”
Every medium of art will be on display including painting, sculpture, glasswork, fine jewelry, photography and more. In addition to the works of art, San Diego locals and visitors can expect live music; KidsWalk, an interactive art area for families; street food options and a wine and beer pavilion.
The Liberty Station venue for the festival also gives attendees an opportunity to visit a wide array of restaurants, galleries and working artist studios. Attendees can spend the day exploring art of all kinds at this event.
Each of ArtWalk San Diego’s three annual festivals support their non-profit partner, ArtReach, which delivers high-quality art education to K-8 schools throughout San Diego, focusing on Title One Schools. Many of the programs ArtReach offers are provided at no cost to schools.
ArtWalk @ Liberty Station will be held at Liberty Station’s Ingram Plaza, 2751 Dewey Road, San Diego, CA 92106. The fine art festival will run from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, and 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 11. Attendance is free.
