San Diego restaurants offering takeout/delivery and fundraisers
I'm doing what I can to support as many local businesses as possible. This list might not be a very large but I wanted to spend some time compiling a list of restaurants that are currently open for takeout and delivery. In addition, there are restaurants setting up fundraisers to help their staff.
I wish everyone good health, safety and good vibes. Let's stick together, be nice to one another and help as many people as we can. We are in this together, not only as community and a nation, but as humanity.

My good friend, Henry Wade, of sandiegoville.com has created a massive list with over 250 restaurants that are currently open. Please click here for the article. In addition, Edwin Real has also created an interactive google maps with restaurants that are currently open.
Fundraisers
Bivouac Ciderworks
Lara Wendy, owner of Bivouac Ciderworks is allowing diners, friends and family to venmo her to provide additional funds for all her staff. Per Lara's Facebook message,
"Hey Facebook friends. Thank you everyone who has called, texted, sent messages and come by Bivouac Ciderworks to buy stuff! The support has been seriously appreciated. I don't know what the future holds, but we are taking it day-by-day and trying to sell as much cider as we can! Keep buying Biv if you can! Many people have also asked how they can help, and honestly, I have a super small staff who are not all as fortunate to have a vast social support network, and they survive on tips, which are quickly drying up. So I was thinking, if anyone was interested in helping out my staff, I could collect "tips," and distribute them directly to my staff, to help them survive the month. If every one of my FB friends sent $5, my entire staff would be ok for a month. If you hate the idea, don't be mad at me, I'm just trying to think of anything to help them out. If you love the idea and want to help - send any donations to my Venmo: @Lara-Wendy and I will distribute 100% to my staff. Thanks for your support, love you all!"

Tahona
Old Town mezcaleria Tahona has decided to temporarily close during this time, including not offering takeout, as a way of doing its part to help minimize risks to their staff and the public. Founder Amar Harrag has set up an Indiegogo fundraiser page at www.indiegogo.com/projects/mezcal-love# where the public can help support Tahona employees through the purchase of playful, branded t-shirts and pre-sale mezcal and taco tasting experiences. Tahona will give 100% of the fundraiser’s proceeds to Tahona employees.
A quote from Tahona’s founder Amar Harrag: “We decided not to do takeout or delivery to limit the exposure of our staff and to do our part to limit the opportunity for the spread of this pandemic. At Tahona, we are family and when our family is in trouble, we do what we can to support them. Our commitment through these difficult times remains the same and with your support, we can limit the impact of this temporary closure. Supporting our staff is our biggest priority right now.”
