After much delay due to COVID-19, the anticipated new location of Liberty Call Distilling in Barrio Logan has quietly opened to dine-in guests for the first time. The month of June will serve as a soft opening phase for the new restaurant-distillery as it ramps up a California tapas-style menu created by farm-to-table chef Miguel Valdez. A Grand Opening is being planned for later this summer.

Liberty Call’s dine-in service has launched with a limited menu as well as cocktails, craft beers and wines. Throughout June, look for a growing list of comfort foods and seasonal fare that currently includes Braised Short Rib Tacos with birria sauce, Liberty Call Seasonal Poutine under beer cheese sauce, Chorizo Pigs in a Blanket, and deep fried Chef’s Cashew Wings in a chili glaze with chive ranch. Guests dining at this newly opened space located within the Mercado del Barrio will also notice the experience meets current safety guidelines.
Liberty Call Distilling in Barrio Logan is also offering takeout food and cocktails. And, building on an earlier initiative to help support its community during COVID-19, Liberty Call also continues to provide hand sanitizer in personal size (4 oz) up to gallon-size bottles.
