Bringing the flavors of Baja to Chula Vista, El Cruce + 241 is South San Diego County’s first wholly devoted Baja taproom, kitchen, and wine bar. With an array of Baja beers, wines, and bites, the South Bay destination has started catering to the morning crowd with the launch of weekend brunch services that started in early March. Brunch aficionados will be able to enjoy savory morning dishes every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.

El Cruce’s new Executive Chef, Charleen Sandoval, is at the helm of the kitchen dishing up noteworthy selections including the Enfrijoladas, black bean Enfrijoladas with lamb chorizo, scrambled eggs, and cotija cheese, the Birria de Borrego, slow braised lamb in broth served alongside fresh corn tortillas, and the Chilaquiles de Chile Morita, which are served with tomato and chile morita sauce and topped with a fried egg.

El Cruce + 241 is currently open daily for outdoor dining and to-go services and is located at 241 Third Avenue Chula Vista, CA 91910.

My husband and I live just a short drive from Chula Vista and we've been searching for a fresh weekend brunch spot to break our usual routine. We normally stay in on Sundays with coffee and pastries. I was actually reading up on wolferman's bakery earlier this week to see if their breakfast muffins were worth ordering for our upcoming family gatherings, but going out for authentic Baja food sounds much better! I’m definitely dragging him to El Cruce this Saturday to try those chilaquiles. Thanks for sharing!
