How to Add Mods to the Sims 4: A Beginner Guide

In this video, we'll show you how to add mods to your Sims 4 game. Mods can add new content to your game, and they're easy to install. We'll show you where to find mods and how to install them. With mods, you can customize your Sims 4 game to your heart's content. So let's get started!

This step-by-step guide is simple.

I give you a general idea of what a mod is and where you can get mods.

I like to download my mods from the creator's website.

Make sure the mods are compressed into a rar or zip file.

Here's the path to the Mods folder on most Mac computers.

Documents/EA/THe Sims 4/Mods

Please Note: Mods aren't available for console players.

Make sure you "Enable Custom Content and Mods" and "Script Mods Allowed" are both enabled in game options.

I personally like to remove my mods or disable them when I'm updating my game or installing a new pack to ensure the mods do not conflict with installation.

When there is a new base game update or you're installing a new pack, you might want to double the modder's website to make sure there's not a new updated mod. Some mods will get outdated and can break your game if you don't update them or take them out. You will get familiar with the ones that will usually need updating.

Welp, happy simming and modding.

Hopefully this was easy. Be sure to subscribe to my youtube channel.
