San Diego’s favorite grab-n-go breakfast spot, Eggies, has officially opened its fourth outpost in North Park, adjacent to its sit-down brunch counterpart, Breakfast Republic. Owner Johan Engman of San Diego’s Rise & Shine Hospitality Group – which oversees the concept’s other existing outposts – anticipates the opening of several Eggies locations in Southern California in the coming year, including one attached to the highly-anticipated Breakfast Republic slated for La Jolla.
Adjoining Breakfast Republic North Park, the 100-square-foot space offers the same toothsome menu items found at its other walk-up windows, including breakfast sandwiches, French toast jars and churros on-the-go, in addition to the recent debut of their Hash Brown side, plus the option to make any sandwich into a combo, which includes one large coffee and a side of hash browns, both now available at all locations.
Eggies is a newer addition to San Diego’s brunch scene, having opened its first three concepts in East Village, Liberty Station and Pacific Beach during the pandemic in 2020, aptly bringing a carryout concept, by design, to San Diegans unable to dine out under the mandated restrictions. Since opening, Eggies has become a welcomed addition to the culinary realm, operating in conjunction with its respective Rise & Shine neighbors to provide a takeout-only option for those seeking a quick morning bite.

Brunchers on-the-go can swing by the Eggies walk-up window to perk up with a Nitro Cold Brew or fuel up with their Eggies Classic sandwich, packed with maple-sage breakfast sausage, applewood-smoked bacon and sharp cheddar cheese, smothered in “Eggcellent” sauce. Sweet seekers can dig into a decadent intermingling of brioche French toast, strawberries, mascarpone cream and brown sugar crumble when they order the French Toast Jar.
Eggies North Park is located at 2726 University Ave, suite A, in North Park. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
