La Valencia
La Valencia’s The Med will offer an exclusive Valentine’s Day five-course pairing dinner, inspired by premium Remy Martin XO cognac. Showcasing the culinary prowess of Executive Chef Timothy Ralphs, the menu features items infused with Remy Martin XO cognac, including Lobster plated with parsnip, radish, caviar, peas and XO and the Muscovy Duck rangoon with pistachio, salsify and cognac clementine glaze. Cafe Gratitude
In partnership with Jessica Encell Coleman, the founder/creator of The Magic of Human Connection, Cafe Gratitude will offer a special Valentine’s Day dinner from February 13-16, themed ‘Cuisine + Connection.' In an effort to foster human connection, the event pairs each course with an interactive heart-centered activity, designed to encourage gratitude and to honor the abundance within a relationship!
Mongolian Hot Pot
Spice things up this Valentine’s Day at Mongolian Hot Pot, located in Clairemont Mesa. Known for its signature, 12 spice soup broth, the hot pot eatery will host a specialty Ying to My Yang Valentine’s Day special. For $60, guests can enjoy an order of the Ying Yang hot pot, featuring a half serving of the original broth and a half serving of the spicy broth, alongside a selection of protein options such as Kobe Beef Ribeye. The special will also include fresh veggies, handmade noodles, dessert and 20% off all bottles of wine.
Spill the Beans
Located in the heart of downtown, Spill the Beans will be crafting specialty heart shaped bagels for Valentine’s Day. Surprise your loved one with two options including the You’re My Everything Everything bagel and the Pizza My Heart bagel. For a festive beverage, pair the bagels with the Mrs. Pots tea latte, featuring rose simple syrup.
Mavericks Beach Club
No date this Valentine’s Day? No problem! Mavericks Beach Club is hosting their 2nd annual I’d Rather Date My Dog event, on Friday February 14th. From 4 to 6 p.m., enjoy specialty cocktails, snap cute photos of you and your pooch in the Doggy Photo Booth and play in the off-leash pop-up Dog Park. There will also be a “Best Dressed Couple” competition, so come dressed up with your furry friend for a chance to win!
BANKERS HILL BAR + Restaurant
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with that special someone at BANKERS HILL BAR + Restaurant, located at 2202 4th Ave., with a prix fixe dinner, optional wine pairings and specialty cocktail exclusively on Friday, Feb. 14.
Created by chef de cuisine, Justin Braly, BANKERS HILL BAR + Restaurant’s specialty menu will be priced at $55 per person, with optional wine pairings for each course priced at $28. The “Every Sip You Take” cocktail, available for $13, is made with rosehip and basil-infused vodka, lemon juice, strawberry simple syrup, Peche de Vigne and topped with an Austrian sparkling rosé of pinot noir.

Tahona
Tahona in Old Town offers a duo of ways to celebrate. For couples seeking a cozy space to enjoy a meal, Tahona will serve a prix fixe Valentine’s Day dinner in its Oaxaca-inspired dining room, with seating times at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Both seatings will begin with a mood-setting welcome cocktail preceding four courses of fare showcasing the flavors of Mexico and crafted by Tahona’s Executive Chef Adrian Villareal, who has worked in celebrated kitchens around the world including the internationally famous Noma. In addition, will also offer chocolate and mezcal pairings in its tasting room throughout February 14 and February 15 (separate dinner reservations are not required).
